Owens Stevens Solicitors is based in Hackney East London.
Established in 2007, since then Owens Stevens Solicitors has obtained excellent results for our clients. Yvonne Stevens is a sole practitioner and has over 20 years experience in Immigration, Nationality and European Law.
Yvonne has strong links with the local community and an awareness of the issues facing these diverse groups.

Yvonne StevensPrinciple/Solicitor
Yvonne studied law at the University of North London and obtained a 2.1 LLB Law Degree whilst continuing to work at the Hackney Community Law Centre. Yvonne went on to complete her Legal Practice Course at the College of Law and qualified in 2004 as a Solicitor. Yvonne gained a wealth of experience specialising in Immigration, Nationality, Housing and Community Care Law whilst working at the Hackney Community Law Centre. Yvonne left the law centre after 23 years to set up Owens Stevens Solicitors initially with Rebecca Owens in 2007 then as Principal Solicitor and Sole practitioner of Owens Stevens Solicitors since 2012.
Yvonne is a member of the Immigration Law Practitioners Association.
Sandra Morgan-McGovern
Solicitor
Sandra studied law at the University of North London, while working as a Social Worker for the London Borough of Islington, before completing her Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in 2001. Sandra completed her training contract in 2003 and qualified as a Solicitor in HMCTS working as a Legal Adviser to District Judges and Magistrates within the different courts.
Sandra remained in HMCTS for over 14 years, gaining valuable experience in Court procedures, Family, (Child Care), Youth and Criminal Law.
Sandra later joined Owen Stevens Solicitors in 2017 as a Consultant and provides advice and representation on many aspects of immigration law, such as EEA applications, Entry Clearance, and Nationality Law/British Citizenship.
Sandra is a member of the Law Society and member of the Islington schools Admissions appeal panel. Up until recently, 2019 Sandra was a member of the IMB – Independent Monitor Board for Pentonville Prison.

Rishona Stevens
Receptionist/Administrative Assistant
Rishona is the receptionist at Owens Stevens Solicitors and has been working at Owens Stevens Solicitors since 2013. Rishona started off as an apprentice in 2013 completing a Level 2 Certificate in Principles of Business and Administration. Rishona finished the course in 2016 as a qualified office administrator. Rishona’s daily responsibilities include:Office duties and legal correspondence, greeting clients, answering phone calls, responding to email messages, handling incoming and outgoing mail, creating files/closing files, ordering stationary, financial administrative duties.
